    Server Execution failed

I solved the date problem but now I have another problem. I was transferring files from my pendrive. After that, I tried to gain access to My Computer but then out of a sudden, i can't open My Computer and The Control Panel as well as Music, Pictures etc on the Start Menu.

When I click My Computer something pops up as 'Explorer.exe Server Execution failed'.

When I click The Control Panel it says '::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683} Server Execution failed'.

Please help me. I have googled and tried some of the solutions given but to no avail

    Hello people,

I just today had this same problem in my Windows 7 profile.
The solution is to go to regedit, and change 2 keys to point to valid places:
    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal
    and
    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Personal
You can set back the defaults by looking at how the other entries in those keys look like.

I'm not enterely sure if the second one is necessary, but I changed both to point to valid places and it works now.
I'm currently at the User Shell Folder but I don't know what to do after that. Everyone seems to be able to solve the problem with these steps.
