    Taking control of my pc from anthor computer ???


    Hi, Folks what im wanting to do is take full control of my pc i.e use my pc from anthor computer but im not sure whats the best program i need ? and also i surpose the other computer will need ? any help would be appreciated thank you. dan

    Depends upon your version of Windows. If you have business, enterprise or ultimate you have remote desktop and that can do what you want. That is one of the reasons that I don't license Home Premium...because it lacks that feature.

    If you don't have those, you can look into something like TightVNC.

    i have windows 7 ultimate RTM mate my girlfriend is on windows xp and i want to take full control of my desktop pc useing her windows xp laptop ? cheers for quick post.

    Well then you have what you need. Right click on My Computer on your machine, hit the remote tab and enable remote desktop.

    From the XP machine, under Accessories and Communications you should find Remote Desktop connection. Run that, put in your computer name or IP address and you should be able to connect. If not, ensure that the Windows firewall is allowing access.

    this be ok with windows 7 and windows xp connecting to each other ? ive never ever do anything like this before is it easy ? cheers mate.
