    New too

My first post here: Hello to all forumites ( sounds like a name right out of SyFi flick ) In many ways dealing with computer issues is like a SyFi movie: capturing an alien craft and XZamNN what makes it go zoom. ( i tend to play with words 4 give-me my illness <g> )

Without having read much of whaat has already been posted here in/on this forum i must admit that i will only be guessing that some of the good, the bad, and the ugly stuff that happens in forums in general may also occure here. It has become IMHO part of a new paradigm in modern America as well as most other countries too.

That said, i use mostly windows OS machines but will confess that i long to go back to my roots which is the Mac OS which i learned and used exclusively from 1985 to 1994. My story of how i went over to the dark side can be read about in my book ( HA )

In the interim perhaps i can get some help with a never ending stream of issues that leaves me shaking my head wondering: "what are they thinking" especially when it comes to "updates".

So now i will sign off of my intro page and look for the proper place to ask: "What now?"

I would suggest that you set aside that paradigm, until you have been here a while. I think that you will find that this forum breaks the mold.

Yes. There was a band named Steppenwolf; a book, a movie, a theater in Chicago, and beings of a certain nature.

Ty Kado, i look forward to any and all help that i can get and perhaps can give. Sometimes i'm the only one who can help friends and family with their computer issues; the ones that are no brainers for me. The other's i refer them to forums that often do help better than i can.
