Windows 7: Startup repair loop

Startup repair loop

4 hours... 4 solid hours of research and ive come up with nothing.

Heres the problem:

My computer crashed and i restarted the computer and was instantly pushed into start up repair (no error messages or beeps) Startup repair ends up saying "cannot fix it automatically" (or something along those lines)... system restore does not work what so ever, safe mode dosent work, and booting into last know good configuration. nothing is working, ive been pulling my hair out over this. i cannot deal with it anymore.

My 4 long long long hours of research has leg me to believe it is something wrong with the registry, i tried this tutorial (Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery) and that did not help.

One main question i have is, can some one make me a copy of their registry and would i be able to insert it for my own use? or do i have to restore?

Also if I restore, does windows 7 home premium have a feature to reinstall windows while keeping all data and programs on the computer?

Please get back to me, this has gone on too long and i need a way out.

Thanks in advance!

Boot up using the Startup disk CD or Windows 7 DVD. (not the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disk) If you have a Netbook, you will need a CD/DVD drive.
Make sure no USB drives are plugged.

Use the Rebuild BCD in this tutorial:

When my Sony laptop encountered BSOD x7b's, I eventually capitulated and somehow accessed Sony's recovery options on the laptop. This allowed me to, without booting up Windows 7 (which I couldn't), backup any and all files I deemed important and return the laptop to factory-installed conditions.
