    32bit or 64bit?

    Hi All,
Well I have decided to try out and install Win7 64bit onto my system.
I have been using the 32bit Win7 Ultimate since day 1 and have been satisfied with all aspects of the 32 bit system. You see I don't consider myself a power user and multi-task. My family and I surf the web, email and very seldom run streaming video. I do watch cable TV on my system as it has a TV tuner card.
After a few weeks I see no big advantage other than a few of my favorite application programs won't run. I don't think anything is faster as the 32bit.

So if things continue to the same I may consider going back to 32bit Win7.
I have not updated my systems specs here but here is my present system.

CPU Intel Core i3 2.60GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
    Memory 4 Gig DDR3 SDRAM
    HD Hitachi 1 Terabyte

Other than this nothing else has changed

So what do you think go back to 32bit or stay 64bit?
I would also like to know why you thing which way.

Thanks and have a great day!

A 64bit system "can" be faster, but that really depends upon you using native 64bit applications and large data sets which take advantage of the 64bit architecture. I'd say for 95% of people, there really will be no tangible performance benefit with 64bit.

From a security standpoint, rootkits and such have had a much harder time in a 64bit arena...but they are finally getting in there and screwing up 64bit builds as well.

The "only" reason I am running 64bit is because I run more than 4GB of RAM (for virtual machines), and 64bit is the only way to address it all.
