    But After Try That. It's No Effect In Open with Window

    ... I Use Media Player Classic x64 Associate For All Videos Files But.. Windows Media Player Is Blue Background




    I Need to Change It.

    Hello Gunniz,

    The blue background only indicates that you just happen to have that item highlighted/selected in that specific window. If you right click on another item, it would become highlighted in blue instead. It doesn't mean that it's the default program.

    You can use the program in the tutorial below to remove a item from being listed in the "Open with" window though.

    Thank You Brink.

    I Try Right Click On wmplayer.exe And Click Disable. But It No Effect. WMP Not Remove From Recommended Programs For Videos File

    We Can't Remove Recommended Programs From Microsoft ? or I Need Restrart System ?

    You don't need to remove it. It is the selected default type, you just need to change the default type from one to the other. You should be able to left click Movie Player classic and it should turn blue and media player should turn white. If it does not, uncheck the box in the lower left corner to always use this program. Then click on movie player classic again. If the correct one turns blue and the other turns white, put the check mark back in the box to always use this program. That should change it to be the default program for that type file.

    I agree that there's no need to remove WMP from Open with since you have the other program set as the default program.

    If you insist on removing WMP, then you could use the tutorial below to remove WMP from Default Programs to also remove it from Open With.
