Hey guys:) i need help!!

Hi everyone
well i have this machine which is relatively good however it is completely utterly useless to me atm... as it lays by my desk just like a bricked phone would! yeh so i have made recovery disks put a new graphics cards, formatted the HD and installed windows on it again and it simply just crashes.. it literally doesnt start up. i get power running through almost everything except for the mouse and keyboard. im using a PS2 keyboard and a USB mouse aswell so i duno whats going on. yeh anyways, my display wont even on! it will just makes its own soft noise(all the fans) and yes thats pretty much it! i have tried pressing F8 and the display doesnt turn on so i duno what is going on!!!!! plz help me guys!!!! thanks you all very much!!!!!

It would help if gave us at least your computer make and model and would help even more if you posted your system specs.

That said, it sounds as though your hard drive and/or motherboard may have failed. Have you opened things up to check you haven't got a loose cable? Have you checked to see if the power cord is pushed fully home?

Check the graphics card is seated correctly too.

firstly, i really wana thank you guys for ur amazingly fast responses u guys r just awesome! and ok i will start checking that taking out the RAM test n hopefully it beeps so my motherboards fine:P and thanks @seavixen32, but what wud u like to know??? id be more than happy to give u details:) thanks again guys

ok i have removed the RAM and unfortunately.... no crazy beeping noises and yes this is the second card i have tried in this machine what do you guys recommend doing from here???

You get dead tech parts sometimes, it just happens. Usually if all you can get out of the mobo is some fans spinning, it's probably not all there.
So many things that can go wrong when making them and during packaging/transit.

i knooow yes umm ok tis machine is quite old probs 4 or 5 years ay:S and its a GIGABYTE GA-P31-DS3L

I'm sad to say it really does sound like there is a problem with the board though.

In view of the fact that your computer is five years old, it may be time to consider replacing it.

Perhaps not quite what you want to hear, but it could be cheaper and a lot less stressful than trying to sort out this particular problem.

If it is your motherboard faulty and you replace it then you may find yourself replacing other parts too as there may be compatibility issues with Windows 7.

It's your choice, but if it were me, I'd bite the bullet and go for a new computer.
