dual boot with XP as default- BCDEdit Denied

I use Vista Boot Pro. It real easy to work with.

Hi Guys. I had a similar problem, except i wasn't able to use my arrow keys to select my OS. The boot manager clearly shows my two OS (XP and 7), but my keyboard was not responding at all. I know it works because I'm able to enter and edit my BIOS settings using it. I'm just wondering if anyone has come across this before and if they know how to fix it. EasyBCD worked like a charm and i was able to set the default to XP, I just don't want to have to keep changing these settings just to get into the other OS.

Open the Control Panel (Classic view).
Open "System" and (on the left) "Advanced System settings"
Press the "Advanced" tab and then "Startup and Recovery"
In the first item, you can alter your default boot OS and the time.

This is the way I changed my boot order, I was hoping to be able to delete an entry here. This bcedit looks a bit complicated to me I just wanted an easy way to remove an entry, going from triple boot to dual.

well bcdedit isn't that hard,

bcdedit (enter) will list all the entries in the store, note the identifier and write it down

then all you need to do is:

bcdedit /delete {cbd971bf-b7b8-4885-951a-fa03044f5d71} /cleanup

where the value {xxx} is the identifier of the entry you want to remove.

Just run the cmd prompt as administrator ie. elevated.

Thank you very much for your help, but on this site I found a link to Easy BCD 1.7.2 exe, this was very easy, I just clicked on the entry I wanted to remove clicked delete and save in this utility and it was done, It has other useful gadgets also. I like it really simple didn't have to type a thing. I have limited vision so I would have most probably got something wrong.
