    BOOT Manager showing mulitple installations


    Hi. evertyime i load windows the boot manager pops up showing 6 different windows installations. I have been troublshooting of late so have been installing/reinstalling windows. The thing is, i have formated each prior installation before installing a new one yet boot manager keeps popping up during OS loading showing me several different options. All of them except for the most recent have no data showing the formating worked. How do i prevent boot manager from showing all these old installations?

    Are you booting the DVD to use Custom Drive Option to delete, create and/or format the partition before install. Look over these steps for getting a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7

    Deleting entire HD to start over would be optimal, but for now you can get rid of the stray listings on msconfig>Boot tab or by installing EasyBCD 2.0 (free version) to Edit OS>Delete each.

    yes greg rocker i am usingDVD to boot and use custom drive option to delete, etc.

    Try cleaning the HD Drive first, using this tutorial:
