2 Active Partitions should one be set to...

2 Active Partitions should I set my "Reserved Partition" to Inactive even though it contains the Acronis Secure Zone or can I just leave it alone. By the way I don't know why it is set to active other than the fact that maybe it's because of the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager that allows me to hit the F11 key to do a full restore of my partitions at boot-time. Here is a screenshot of my partition setup:



Is having two active partitions gonna give me issue's that I don't want?

Also windows starts just fine no problems.

What's actually on "Reserved"? It shouldn't be Active unless it contains an OS bootloader. Acronises "Press F11" adds itself to the Windows Bootloader, (on C) so that isn't causing an issue.

You should set D:\ to Inactive if it doesn't actually contain a bootloader, or you may cause yourself problems down the line.

Thanks you guys for the reply's, things right now are working properly except for explorer crashing every once in awhile which is most likely do to the fact that there are many extra context menu items added to the menu, but other than that I have never had 2 active partitions before and I believe this may have happened during setup of the operating system.

The partition itself has music and setup programs for the computer and basically just is a disk for ripping music too and being the main writing disk for large write operations (movies, music, ect) instead of using the ssd's and wearing them out.

Please post a Windows disk management snip before you do anything.

Before we make any specific recommendations will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire Windows disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have going on as there may be a fairly simple way to resolve the situation.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a maximized snip of that.
