Is it a black screen? If so, you'd want to launch Startup Repair, make sure you log in as the administrator, and then click Startup Repair.

Hope it helps!

You'll need to check for infection by booting into Safe Mode w/Networking to install, update and run Malwarebytes, or download and burn to CD or write to flash stick Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper to boot, update and scan system.

Next boot the DVD or REpair CD to be sure that Startup Repair isn't being hindered by corrupt System files, Run it repeatedly and report back results.

Startup Repair should automate System REstore and SFC but if not run SysRestore from the DVD/CD's System Recovery Options list.

Then run from the DVD/Repair CD command line SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot. If it finds bad files you may need to run it repeatedly.

If these fail you can copy out your files using Paragon Rescue CD or the Windows 7 DVD/Repair CD with this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

The run Acer factory recovery from it's partition: Acer Support: Recovery media and Restoring a system to factory load or using Acer Recovery disks if you have them, or order them from Acer.

Or you can find a Windows 7 installation DVD for your version to clean reinstall with the Product Key on COA sticker, following these steps to get a perfect OEM clean reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7

Be sure to ask back any questions and report back progress on each step as the help here in interactive and new steps will arise based on results.

Try this link to the Windows 7 Repair CD ISO: http://www.proposedsolution.com/down...dvd-iso-image/

Burn it to CD using ImgBUrn at 4x speed: ImgBurn - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Boot the CD by setting CD drive as first to boot in BIOS setup: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

Or tap the Acer F12 one-time BIOS boot menu key to choose CD drive at boot.
