    Hello Vladislav,

Downloading and merging the exe option in the tutorial below may be able to help fix this. It will restore the default associations for EXE files.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

In addition, I would recommend to scan your system with Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper at boot and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free to help make sure that your system is malware free in case that was the cause.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Well, make sure you run a full MBAM scan and kill all viruses. Then use Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper to run a virus scan.

    Vladislav,

You could download and create the bootable Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper DVD or USB on another computer to be able to boot from and use on your computer to scan it.

Glad the problem got solved :). Make sure you use Microsoft Security Essentials as your standard anti-virus, which will help to prevent situations like this again. Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials
