    Explorer query

    Hi Guys,

    I have an 'Explorer' query.

I have a folder that contains 2947 Folders which hold 31458 files at a total of 406 GB. All files are .MP3.

Explorer takes a minimum of 35 seconds [ often ~ 1min. ] to display the folders. Is there any way to speed up this process?

The drive system is FAT32, defragmented and nominal 2 TB capacity. No, I don't want to change system to NTFS and re-install files.

The O/S is Win 7 PRO 32-bit with Service Pack 1

    CHEERS!

Try optimizing the folder for music. Right click the folder in Windows Explorer and select Properties. Switch to the Customize tab and check the Optimize this folder for setting. Select music. Click Apply, OK...
