New toshiba satellite pro c650 laptop won't let us use password

    Hello.

My son has bought a new toshiba satellite pro C650 laptop from a shop.
It boots into win 7 desktop, but it wont let us do anything on it,we try to register password,no good, then try user account password, but no good, also we can't get to administrator.

It has several big icons on the right hand side of screen as well, which i assume the shop put on there as advertising,so we need to get rid of them as well, but at the moment we can't do anything.

we have registered the laptop with toshiba okay.
Could anyone tell us how to activate this laptop please?

    Thanks.

Return it to the shop...they shouldn't put a password on without your consent...

    toshiba password laptop

I cant return it,as my son brought it from usa for my grand daughter(in england) for her university exams.

Is there any way that i can delete their password,so i can get into the laptop for her to use it.?

    Thanks.

    toshiba password

We have tried to use the user account but it still wont let us do it.

Was wondering how to get a recovery disk for this toshiba laptop,so i could put it back to factory settings, then i would be able to put her own password in,if that is possible?

My grandaughter starts university in 2 weeks,so its panic time.
I know the recovery files are hidden away on the win7 on the laptop, but i suppose i wont be able to access them without that password.

Was wondering if taking out the battery would delete the shops password, but if it messes up,then my son wouldn't be able to take it back to the shop in the USA,he goes back a week this sunday.

Pity i couldn't wipe the hdd,and put winxp pro on there, but i would need the mobo chipset drivers and everything else.

So its panic stations at the moment,be very grateful if someone could help us out out.

the only thing i can recommend is installing windows 7 again and use the key that the laptop came with (usually a sticker under the laptop). If you don't have a windows 7 disc, download one from and burn it to a dvd

Download Windows 7 ISO (Official 32-bit and 64-bit Direct Download Links) « My Digital Life

After burning the disc, insert, and restart the laptop, it should boot from the disc you created.

Hopefully i am correct on this :) if anyone can join and correct me if i am wrong.

I could provide you steps to remove the pass, but it is unethical, and restricted from this forum, and possible illegal.
If you really can't do change the pass, reinstall the system (by buying a license), as this is the only way where things are ethical.

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Who`s name does it show ? Did you try leaving it blank and just hit enter ?
I am wondering how you can get to the desktop if it`s asking for a password ?

Do you mean the log on screen ?

Can you boot to the recovery partition ?
