When i try to open any programs it pops up "open with"

    When i try to open any programs it pops up "open with"


    hi
    I have this small problem i hope you can help me with :).
    all my shortcuts, and actually on all my programs i try to run it comes open with. i managed to open fierfox with going to the fierfox history and select a previous site.
    Annyway i have windows 7, plz help

    Hello Pedra, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You might see if downloading and merging the exe and lnk (LNK) options in the tutorial below may be able to help. They will restore the default associations for these.

    Default File Type Associations - Restore

    It would also be a good idea to scan your system with either or both the Malwarebytes Free and Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper just to help make sure that your system is clean.

    no it did not work :=(
    after everything i did not understand how to fix it. i did everything and it still come "open with"

    When i try to open any programs it pops up "open with"-uten-navn.jpg

    Please explain what you mean by "i did not understand how to fix it". Where you able to download and merge the REG files?

    yes i was abel to merge and do everything it said on the link

    Somehow Adobe Reader has been associated with all you programs. I had something similar happen with a different program and I did a system restore to before the problem occured.

    Strange. It should have restored the default association after you merged the EXE and LNK .reg files and restarted the computer.

    Doing a system restore, as Bru posted above, using a restore point dated before this happened should also help.
