Easy way to run script at shutdown without gpedit?
I'm sure many M-Audio sound card users are aware of Windows 7 not shutting down and the .bat file fix(kills audio services) that runs at shutdown. Unfortunately Home,Home Premium versions do not include gpedit.msc which is normally used to run script at shutdown.
I have created a combination of .bat(kills audio services and shutdown) .vbs(to hide bat window)ran via desktop shortcut, one for restart and one for shutdown.
I know there must be an easier way that will allow me to use standard shutdown/restart buttons.I've tried creating a task that would run the bat file at shutdown but cannot find a trigger relating to shutdown process.
