    Autorun not running

When I put a dvd or cd in my drive to install a program I can see the drive run for a bit, but then the system just goes back to normal and the installer doesn't run. Can someone steer me to where in Win7 I can look to see why this is happening. I am sure it's just some setting I need to change.

Hello Mirriam and Welcome to Seven forums.
Have a look at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay. Make sure Use Ato play for all media and devices is checked. Click on Save.

Type in the search auto play. At the top of the list you will see what you need. Click on it. The that opens, upper left corner click auto play.
