| | Deepfreeze and how to do Microsoft FEP / Security Essentials "UPDATES" Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help... We have both FEP / Security Essentials installed on Windows 7 PCs, but I can find anyway to install anti-virus updates on these PCs because we have DeepFreeze installed on them permenantly... When installing FEP or Security Essentials, you have no choice but to install the programs on the C:\, so when the drive is frozen using deepfreeze, any daily fep or security essential updates are applied, but deepfreeze wipes them off when the PC is restarted. I've tried data igloo to redirect a folder, but the updates are not applied, as i'm sure it is more than just one folder on the c:\ that FEP / security essentials is installed. So is there any way to keep the c:\ drive frozen with Deepfreeze, yet allow updates to still be installed and kept for FEP or Security Essentials? Any help would be appreciated...  |
