    Missing icons in programs file


    Hello All
    Just loaded my pc and i'm missing icons for my office 2010 programs, I'l post an image below, how do i fix this?

    It is possible to fix it, but the way is too difficult IMO ! It is Office Icons – Change or Repair . You can try need4steer's post in the second page of that tutorial, but as I haven't tried it, not sure about how that trick works.

    And, The easiest way to restore things is just to reinstall Office 2010 over the existing installation. It will bring all those deleted icons back.

    At the same time, if you have a junk/registry cleaner other than Ccleaner, this problem may occur once again.

File browse icons missing

For example, using Resource hacker, I will browse for a file to open, and the windows default icon shows for .exe file extensions. See attached image. Even when uploading this picture, I browsed for it, and shortcut icons have the default windows icon. I have tried delete icon cache also.

ok so i have noticed that with applications that require an install theres no icon its just the default missing icon file as shown in the attatchment below. can anyone help me or is it meant to be like that?

Minimized programs icons missing
in General Discussion

All of a sudden running programs that I have minimized no longer have an icon on the task bar so that I can open them up when needed. I have to go to the task manager to get to them. Not sure what I did but I can't seem to get them to display on the task bar again. Advice much appreciated.
