| | Advanced system setting - custom settings will not stay saved. Advanced system settings – advanced – settings - custom. I have my own Win 7 home edition laptop adjusted for Best Performance with just 3 boxes ticked. 1. Show thumbnails instead of icons. 2. Show windows content while dragging. 3. Use visual styles on windows and buttons. However when I try to repeat these setting on my son’s Win 7 home edition desktop there is a problem with saving the settings. There are 2 user accounts and the administrator account does not have this problem, it keeps the new settings. The other account however will not save these new settings permanently. The new settings are Applied and Okayed and everything at that time is fine and working but when the PC is restarted the settings are lost. Any ideas please? Pete |
