Right-Click Menu in Windows 7 Explorer Only Showing New>New Folder

I am having an interesting problem in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

The Right-Click menu in Windows Explorer under "New" only shows a complete list of new files to create in certain folders on my C:\ (System) drive only on 2 of the 3 storage HDDS.

I have 4 HDDs, 3 connected to the MB and 1 connected via PCI Kingwin USI-2535 (Silicon Image SiI3114 SATARAID Controller. The only HDD connected to the SATARAID controller does not display the full menu either, like some ares of C:\.

It is a bit of a mouthful but this screenshot may help.

I have read posts about registry key being corrupted and creating a new one but since it shows up in certain areas and not others I cannot see this being the problem.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

That's normal behavior. It usually does that on protected folders such as Program Files, Windows, etc.

However, for drive H:, I'm betting that drive used to be from another Windows OS but the files were simply deleted instead of the drive being reformatted, hence the security on it stuck. I can tell you for one that it's not supposed to do that unless H: is still a current ACTIVE drive for another Windows OS. Let's fix that.

(Judging by how much you know on your system, I would assume the following procedures would be easy for you. Let me know if it isn't)

Open an administrative command prompt and input the following, line by line. You can copy it and save it into a .bat file and run it from an admin prompt to make it easier, if you want.

If you're worried about changing permissions, the preceding tutorial applies the security settings Windows places on drives with no significance by default.

P.S.: Do this on that drive where you're showing the screenshot ONLY! Unless you know what you are doing, doing it on important folders such as junctions would destroy your system.
