windows won't boot after installing new theme

    Hi sevenforum,

This is my first post here, and i'm really hoping you can help this not-so-much computer noob out.

So, after installing a windows 8 theme my computer won't boot anymore. It goes to the first loading screen wich lets me acces the BIOS, and then shuts off and reboots again. So my question is: can i select within the BIOS to not boot the theme in question or is there another way to boot my system just so i can remove it?

    any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried booting into safe mode (F8)?

There is no setting in BIOS to not load the theme

Do you have the win 7 DVD? If so you can do a repair install.

Windows 8 theme? What is the source of this theme....? Are you quite certain it isn't carrying any malicious code?

Its OK, I've had it happen once. I ran startup repair which didn't work, then sfc scan which did. All from the local RE, after F8.

Lol. If it's trying to be a "Look like the actual Windows 8" theme, then it's obviously a lie since the current official Win8 Theme is Win 7 Aero.
