Windows Live Mail email backup software

I uninstalled my Acronis TIH 2012 and now have no software to back up my email accounts, personally added email account folders and contacts. I would appreciate it very much if anyone knows of any free email backup software that I can use. It doesn't have to have the ability to schedule backups. I'm looking for email backup only as I don't need to backup favorites, documents, etc, etc, etc, although if additional functions are provided that's OK with me.

Thank you in advance for your time and any assistance provided.

You can back it up by hand if you like. It has a function to export all emails and accounts to any drive attached to your machine. In the upper left corner, click the blue box and from the dropdawn click export and follow the directions. It takes about 3 minutes, if that long. There is also a program that will do it. I have never used it but will find it for you.

EDIT: It is called KLS mail backup.

Thank you for your prompt reply, essenbe. I notice that I have the option to export both messages and accounts. I assume that I'll need to export both. Also, with the Microsoft based accounts the additional personal folders I have created for those accounts are always recreated whenever I add Windows Live Mail to a different computer and then add email accounts; however, my two sbcglobal.net accounts don't retain personally added folders and are not there when I add my sbcglobal.net accounts to a different computer. The additional folders I use are Receipts, Stored Messages, etc, etc, etc.

By the way, I like the "be kind to elders" below your display name. It seems that being kind to elders, compassion, empathy, sympathy, loyalty and altruism are, for the most part, lacking in our newest generation of children and young adults.

Yes, you can also create folders, I have quite a few I keep. If you want a new folder under Inbox, just right click inbox and select new folder from the dropdown then follow the prompts and give it a name. Same with other folders. You can also export your contacts. You'll have to choose ,CSV or .VCF type. and export them to another backup folder. When you set up your next email account just import them from your backup. Just remember the format you used.

Yes, you are correct about many of the younger generation. I tell my Daughter sometimes that there used to be a time when elders were respected for their experiences and their wisdom.

I hope some of this helps. You can probably find some programs that will back your email up. I just find it easy to do it by hand and I know it was done.
