Unallocated Sata Drive although it has information in it.

I recently installed Win 7 on my PC. I have a HDD IDE, the one is running Win7. I also I have a 2TB sata drive tha I use as a slave. Before I installed Win 7. It was working fine until I reformatted the Hdd and installed Win 7. Now my HDD does no show on the MY Computer screen. I have all my important information in that Hard Drive. When I go to the disk manager, it shows the drive, bu it says unallocated. What I do, do not want to lose my data. Thanks!!

    Hello Juancho,

You could use from step 7 on in OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below to restore the unallocated disk and hopefully all the data that was on it.

Convert a Dynamic Disk to a Basic Disk

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

sorry to say it looks like you already lost all the data on it.
i think the only think you can do now is format the drive to make it usable again. but all you data will be lost.
may want to wait and see what others say.

    Juancho,

DO NOT FORMAT the hard drive yet. If you do, you will lose everything on it that you might still be able to recover. Give the method I posted above a try first to see if you may be able to recover it and the data on it. If it doesn't work, then yeah you have already lost it.
