I was having odd ball issues on my HTPC so I decided to do a reformat and reinstall of Windows 7 x64. I have installed all the updates and the basic video and tv tuner drivers for media center. Nothing else.
Yesterday evening about 5pm I noted the hard drive thrashing for a long time. Afterward thought to take a look. At the time of the thrashing I got 24 instances of Event ID 2 Circular Kernel Context Logger. Thought I would look again in the morning. Nothing since. Thought it a fluke. Watched a few shows this morning. When done my wife watched a video. Looked at the event view again. Another 20 instances of the event happened about the time we quit watching the recordedtv program and her switching to the video on HDD.
I see lots of posts for this issue, but no clear answer. Can someone help narrow down the issue?
