Given RTM already went out to the OEM's and others, if these are legitimate, they'd eventually turn up on Windows Update, wouldn't they?

I think it is simple, since 7100 Windows 7 is features complete. From there the new versions were only better because of less bug's.
But someday Microsoft must say "STOP" now Win7 is stable enougth to release to the manufactors, that they can work on there drivers, make new Hardware....

But that doesn't mean that Windows7 have no more bug's.
So finaly 7600.16385 is the final RTM but that Microsoft will fix bugs that doesnt affect the driver model, or the software compatibiliy is normal, and to mark the installation of a bugfix/patch7update they must change something on some version Numbers.

    Fixes are alway welcome.
