HELP XP-Windows 7!

Hey guys i cant upgrade my windwos xp to windwos 7 i know there is no upgrade possible but it wont boot the dvd , i already tested on 3 computers all warrked fine, but this xp laptop does not want to boot it, i have it set up so that it should but it does not please help.

have you tried extracting the ccontents from the ISO and running the setup.exe from there?? Its not mandatory to install from a disk you know..

how do you do that. extract it to the hdd.

extract the contents from the iso to a folder(create a folder and name it windows 7 or daddy7) using winrar or any other software. Then, find the .exe file and start installing it.
Chances are, when you went to the notebook's bios, you didnt save the settings.

Chances are, when you went to the notebook's bios, you didnt save the settings.

That's my guess as well. I made the same mistake when I first tried to install Vista and I wondered why it wasn't working, only to realize I didn't save the settings when I changed the CD drive to the first boot device.

If you did, however, I recommend following the advice from a couple of posts in the thread already and extracting the ISO's contents to your hard drive using WinRAR, and running setup.exe from there.

And if you did save the BIOS settings after changing the boot order, then are you sure that your laptop is equipped with a DVD drive?
