1. Can I trim down an install after installation (like vlite or klite but for the install on the machine already rather than reinstalling), and if so how?
2. Vlite doesnt have an option to add your own programs to the install (like chrome and the like or other customizations such as changing whats on the taskbar by default) does anyone know of how I can do this? I know OEMs can do it I'm just wondering if I can do the same.

1) In general, no, although you can turn off services and remove some Windows functionality with native tools - it is going to depend on what you want to do (remove files or simply not run services/programs - you can usually do the latter, but not easily the former).
2) This (and other things) can be done by creating an unattended installation using tools from the Windows Automated Installation Kit.
