Help Sorting files A-Z in Windows 7

    Hi,

I'm not to sure weather i'm just having a serious case of the stupids this morning or something but i'm trying to sort a large group of films A-Z on my external HDD how do i stop windows 7 from sorting it A-H, I-P, Q-Z etc. And actually have individual categories for each respective letter. Cant think for the life of me how and it will probably be stupidly simple so let me off gently its early :).

    thanks!

Hi ipixel and welcome to Sven Forums. Right click in any blank area of the folder and select Group By-> (none).

Go to the View menu in your Explorer window, then to the Group By submenu and select (None). :)

Thanks for the help Kado and greetings also, but i dont think you understand quite what i meant (my ways of explaining things are something to be desired :)) i still wish to have them grouped into a category but instead of one categories being A-H i would like individual category letters i.e A, B, C, D, E, etc.

    thanks again.

    Edit:Corazon same thing xD

Sorry. I don't know how to do that. Perhaps someone else will.

Ah no problem its silly that it isn't just a function in W7 anyway i don't understand why it sees the need when your sorting alphabetically to group the letters together =/

    Yes it's not very flexible.

It does make you wonder why Microsoft doesn't think of the simplest things like this! Yes, sometimes Windows can be pretty inflexible.
    Sorry for the misunderstanding :)
