    windows 7 starter help


    the hard drive on my netbook is unreadable,so i can not access the recover partition.
    I bought a new hard drive.can i download windows 7 starter from the manufacturer website?.my netbook is a dell inspiron mini.thanks

    Your all over the place.

    1. Are you trying to install windows on the new HD?

    2. If you are you will need to make a bootable 4GB or more flash drive to install windows without a DVD drive.

    yes but i do not have a copy of windows 7 starter,since i could not save the recovery partition from my old hard drive.thanks in advance for your help

    Ok. You will need to get the recovery media form manufacturer website. You will have to buy this from them. The cost is between 10-20 US Dollars.

    Hello Kingpin1960

    If you have a win7 32 bit install disk just use the %cd%\sources\install.wim file and imagex from x86 WAIK.
