Re-install the application that uses it. Just in case download malwarebytes and run it just in case.

It appears that lorraine.dll belongs to a program from Iolo, i.e. System Mechanic or another of their products.

lorraine.dll Details. Is this file safe? Check the directory

Try just uninstalling it, then the error should hopefully go away. To be honest, System Mechanic isn't the greatest program and other people have had trouble with it.

It isn't the first time I've had trouble with it. I still have 8 months on the subscription. Hate to waste money atm. Any suggestions as to what use as a replacement program in the future?

What exactly do you use System Mechanic for? I know it includes multiple functions - which ones are important to you? We'll almost certainly be able to find free replacements for all of them; usually better ones too.

Did you uninstall SM again, and did it resolve your original problem?
