Windows 7: non recognition of external drive partition

non recognition of external drive partition

I have an Iomega edternal 1tb drive attached to my laptop.NOW WINDOWS 7 does not show the main partition. It does show the second partition on which there is ther w7 backup. All partitions appesar under Vista ultimate on the same machine. How can I get windows7 to show the missing poartition?
Any help wouyld be appreciated.

I take it you mean it doesn't show in Explorer?

When you go to diskmanagement, do you see it there?

Probably it doesn't have a driveletter under Win7, so you'll have to add it.

If you don't know how, post back.

Thanks for the reply. I completely restored the windows 7 partition from an earlier backup and I got my external partition back again. The trouble started when I used Personalisation - change the theme. Then I lost my partition. Everything is OK now thanks
