Please help, first windows media player now Itunes!

    Hi,

I got my new laptop a few weeks ago running windows 7. A couple of days ago my windows media player stopped working, so I just started using divx instead. Now I have noticed that my itunes isn't working either. It doesn't load at all, I have search all the forums, I have tried un-installing it and reinstalling it, tried running it in xp mode, tried deleting itunes in processes. Nothing is working. Can anyone help??

Also I don't know if it is at all related but it takes my laptop ages to shutdown. Also if any add or delete anything in a folder it doesn't happen straight away, I have to refresh it first. I have done a system run and run my virus scanner.

I'm not happy to hear that. Mcaffee is not a good antivirus software at all, you should uninstall it.

Instead download the free Malwarebites, update the virus signatures and run a full system scan with it.
If there are any malwares, they will be found then

McAfee is generally frowned on around here.

It may not be the problem, but even if you had no problems, you can do better than McAfee.

A combination of Malware Bytes and Microsoft Security Essentials is highly recommended.

Try a System Restore to a date prior to when this started.
