    Can't delete Thumbs file

I want to delete 20 folders containing images. Whe I try to delete more than one folder, I keep getting a Thumbs file. when I skip it, it returns for each folder.
If I delete a single folder, it gets deleted OK.
Here is a screen shot of the message I get.
What is it and how can I get rid of it?

This appears to be the result of the source machine the files were copied from.
My guess is it has tagged all the thumbnail files as system thus protecting them.

I would also check the folder properties (by right clicking it) and make sure read only isn't set.
It would seem the problem is just that the files are from another computer or a previous format of the one you are using.
You could also try just switching view to details instead of icons.
Sometimes it keeps trying to create new thumbnail files for the folders simply because of the view type.

I don't really understand the problem.

If all you want to do is delete all the folders including the thumbnail files, you shouldn't click on Skip - you should mark the checkbox Do this for all current items and then click Yes. That's it!

    1) The folders Properties are all Read Only, but it saus for files. I uncheck the box but Read Only is back when I look again.
    2) Tried every type in the VIEW menu - nothing works.

The problem is the &%@#$ Thumbs thing keep popping up!

Then I'll have to do it every time the Thumbs shows up? How does that solve the problem?

Thanks guys. Guess I'll have to live with it.

The thumbs file is created for any folder that's set to display the contents as thumbnails. Set it to display any other way, and the thumbs file won't be created.
