Keyboard accelerator missing in Explorer 'Sort By'

Before Windows 7, one could sort a folder by date-time modified using the keyboard accelerators (ALT+V, I, M), and I used this constantly. But now it appears that everything in the Sort-By list EXCEPT Date Modified has a functioning keyboard accelerator -- even those choices that aren't marked with an underscore (Name and Size), when said underscores are enabled.

I've tried all the unassigned letters in 'Date Modified' and none work. I hoped Classic Shell would fix this but it has precisely the same gap. Am I not seeing the magic letter? There can't be a legitimate reason why this sort criterion alone requires the arrow key or mouse. Can there?

TIA
