Windows 7: Virtual XP Mode

Virtual XP Mode

Everything was working great until I updated. Then got a message that said, "that my XP mode could not be restored because of either host processor type mismatch or lack of hardware-assisted virtualization support in the system." I restored the system to prior update, but I still get the same message. Any ideas?

Have a look at this it may help.

Error message about hardware-assisted virtualization for Windows XP Mode in Windows Virtual PC on a computer that is running Windows 7

Try enabling virtualization in the bios to see if it solves it.

Sorry if this is no help.
