when i am trying to open any link of the desktop

when i am trying to open any link of the desktop, Microsoft office picture manager opens and a dialogue appears "other files exits".Right clicking on the link open with program changes the other application also.Restoration also done but no result.

I'm having a great deal of difficulty in understanding what your problem actually is. It seems to have some connection to 'file association.' You might want to look at these tutorials to see if you can get any resolution:
