Wierd Display Error: Black screen until logon screen; no Logo etc.

Hello all. Just registered becuase I have an issue.

I believe this is a display error, but I could be wrong. If this needs to be moved to another forum, go right ahead.

The PC is a HP p7-1019, Windows 7 64 bit, purchased about two months ago. My montior is a FujiPlus fp-988d monitor, about two years old. I use a VGA cable to connect. Recently I have noticed a wierd display error. When I first brought the PC home, I was able to see the HP logo, the Win7logo, access the BIOS, and successfully boot up. However, now I cannot see any of that. I boot up the PC, and there will be no display, just a black screen, untill the Windows 7 User Logon screen.

The rest of the PC works fine, but I have no display for several minutes. Because of this, I also cant access the BIOS, or the dual boot option (I have a dual boot machine), or boot into safe or recouvery mode, since I cant see anything. I assume the startup is there, as I can hear my PC doing the POST test, and if I hit the F8 key, it seems to reconize it, and will act "busy". I cant se any of it though.

I have checked all drivers, and theyre all updated and working. I have also checked msconfig, and everything seems right. Its set as normal boot, no other options checked in the boot tab (noguiboot is not on etc, timeout 30 seconds, etc.) In advanced system settings, under startup and recovery, it does have checked time to display list of operating systems and time to display recovery options at 30 seconds. I cannot check or go into BIOS as I cannot see it. I have also tryed sfc /scannow, and have gotten no errors or issues from it.

My sister has a simialr model, but uses an HP montior, and she can display the logos and get into BIOS, view the logos, start up screen with no issue. I can still use and boot the PC, but I simply cant see the startup, and this bugs me big time.

Can I fix this, or should I buy a new monitor? I dont want to waste money if I dont have too.

I will attach photos so that you can see all options are normal.

Thank you for your help and replies.
