Locking position of maximized windows?

I just switched to Windows 7 a couple weeks ago and have one niggling issue I'd like to get rid of. Here's the scenario: I have a maximixed window, which could be any program: a browser, Photoshop, explorer, etc. When I go up to the toolbar to click the File menu, for example, sometimes I'll inadvertantly click-drag on the window's titlebar instead which then drags the window out of its maximized position. Very annoying. Is there some way to disable this click-dragging on maximized windows, so it doesn't keep happening accidentally?

Thanks,
m19

The simplest way would be to simply 'restore' your window (not minimize it), then re-'maximize' it.
