    Can't add slideshow to wallpaper

I've done this a hundred or more times so I know how. But now doing it the same way won't work anymore.
Right click dexktop....Persnalixe......Select Desktop Background.......Click on Down Arrrow on Theme box........ Select a folder of pictures,,,,, Save. Used to work now doesn't

Go to the folder you want to be your slideshow folder, rightclick on one of the pictures and then Set as desktop background. It will automatically add entire folder to the Desktop Background window. Then click Select all or choose pictures you want and you have slideshow.

When you rightclick>Personalize from desktop, you may need to click on the Desktop Background link there to see that it's set up correctly. I browse from there to the folder I want used, it autoloads them into the window, Select All, set Slideshow timeout, Save.
