    hi i took ownership of the windows file is there a way to restore permissions back the way they were thanks

    Hello Hangdawg,

    Please post back the full path of what file this is, and I'll be happy to see what the default "Owner" and permission settings are and how to change them back. :)

    hi brink yeah i took ownership of the windows file and used reshacker to edit start button orbs but only repleced 3 bit maps seems theres more to replace as running sfc/scannow replaces it back to the way its suppose to be

I recently installed W7 64 bit on a new PC and all my documents are stored on an external HDD however I cant access them without my admin password. What I want to do is completely remove any file permissions so they are assessable to everyone on the computer. Can this be done? Thanks
