Will there be a quick way to offically know if the RTM we all have is in fact the final version and we can just use the Keys we get?
Yes, they provide official hash values with the downloads so you can know if you've downloaded correctly. Theoretically possible for them to still have something different end up on shelves in the fall, but unlikely.

If they're smart they'll put things up around midnight (tonight) Redmond time while it's still the middle of the night for all the U.S. That way they can maximize how downloads are spread out... hopefully. Suppose the next best option would be the mid to late evening on the 6th for similar reasons.

They've known for a good while that the 6th is their target date. I'd hope they don't have any unusual delays.

we all know what happened with beta 1, and as far as multiple releases in different time zones... I really dont think so.. the whole world is gonna get it at once, and my gut tells me its not gonna be 16385 (probably 16399). i know the rush is part of the fun :) the idea is to get in before anybody else lol. I know as soon as it goes on MSDN we're gonna hear about it. Needless to say, its less than 24 hours away

Regarding the version of Windows 7 over MSDN and TechNet, and Microsoft Partner Program, and wherever else officially, I'm afraid they will all be the images that got leaked two weeks ago, 16385 to be sure.

Actually, Microsoft had loaded their servers with all the RTM images pending for public technical release for about half a month now. A few groups with privileges had already laid their hands on the good stuff for weeks. And unless very serious showstopper bugs show up, [and that OEM activation crack is not showstopping] they will not change images.

Although there isn't much to expect as to the formal release, they are official images coupled with real product keys I am looking forward to these little magical combinations.:)

After all, we've been familiar with their habit of releasing things, so I will expect my downloading to start later, say one day or two from tomorrow.
