    Deleted files still appear in explorer resources


    About 10 days ago I deleted two .avi files from my PC, and yet they continue to reappear in the folder where they were originally stored. When I try to delete them again, I am told that they cannot be found, so they actually have been deleted. Is there any way to get rid of the entries completely?

    Disk Check


    Time to run a disk check. It may clean up the entrys on the disk.

explorer.exe eating up resources

Explorer is eating up about 70% of my processor usage, all the time. If I disable it through the task manager's resource monitor, the desktop is unusable. What can I do to free more of my CPU when I need it? I run Windows 7 on a Dell Precision T3500 workstation that is a little sluggish. Thanks...
I wanted to consolidate data from other disks that I had so I could use those disks to convert an existing W7 installation into a RAID array. So I hooked up additional 2 x 500GB disks that contained files and previous installations of Windows and a 1TB drive to copy the files I wanted to keep....
