hi guys, thanks to all responses

i have fixed it and i will share how.

cannot boot from any other drive or device because you arent allowed to access the main drive (in my case c)

i found a fix on another forum.

reboot into safe mode (i unplugged and took battery out to force a reboot option on startup)

start - my computer - right click c - properties - security - edit - type "everyone" - keep saying ok - then reboot.

seems to be working so far.
looks like many people have had this problem when they have deleted a homegroup. which you should be able to do without this problem accurring. i still havent managed to persuade my netbook that it can allow network discovery so anyone know anything about that please help.

No access to GPT drive in Windows 7, no drive letter can be assigned
In the limited research I have done with the problem posed in post #56, I believe the reason the user is unable to use the drive is it is GPT and is protected. Is there a way to reclaim the drive and data in Windows 7? I am unfamiliar with GPT and do not know how to get Windows 7 to give access...

Any problems using Access 2007 database with Access 2010?
According to what I've read, Access 2010 uses the same database format as Access 2007. So this should mean I can open and run a 2007 database (with a lot of VBA code) in Access 2010 with no trouble, yes? So why do I have the feeling that something is not going to work? Is it because I have...
