Digital Copy, DRM and WMV...
This is to save time for anybody thinking of buying or downloading digital copy movies. Don't bother with it. There is no app to play back Windows Media Video DRM protected movies on most devices.
I just got Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon and downloaded the digital copy for my Motorola Droid X only to find there is no support for WMV DRM.
Only working option for digital copy is getting an iPhone and using the iTunes to transfer the digital copy to the phone.
Windows for mobile phone is still not there and I'm not sure what kind of support you can expect for WMV DRM digital copy movie.
I have transferred 2 movies (transcoded direct from DVD) to my LG Dare little over a year ago and watched it away from home and on vacations. That is the way it seems I'll have to go for Droid X (Android OS). DRMs are useless on devices that don't support them and cost more to support them (royalty, licensing, etc).
A non-DRM solution is just simpler and cheaper.
