Are you very sure D2D recovery is enabled in BIOS?

Couldn't log on to Windows or can't go beyond your BIOS loadscreen? I had quite a similar problem in my laptop a few days ago where I couldn't go into my welcome screen but I can go into BIOS. Did a system restore and my system is back to normal.

Are you running the Acer Recovery partition or using the Recovery Disks? Acer Support: Frequently Asked Questions list for Recovery media and Restoring a system to factory load

Did you make the REcovery disks to have as a backup before running Factory Recovery?

Try tapping the Alt + F10 keys together during reboot to see if you can trigger Recovery Partition again.

You can also try marking the Recovery partition Active (which is what the hotkeys do) to see if it will run at reboot: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

If this fails you'll need to order the Recovery Disks you should have made for free when computer was set up, or find a Win7 installation DVD for your version to clean reinstall with the Product Key on COA sticker attached to machine.

Why would you buy a $130 retail Win7 disk when you own a copy of Win7 on that computer for it's life, and can reinstall it any way you want as long as you have the Recovery or Installation disk?

    Use a cooler, now...

As for Acer recovery type F2 key and enable in bios settings both D2D and F12 on boot order (if you've got the restore CDs).

Try also F8 key => Repair Computer=>Recovery Management...

If need be, you can purchase replacement recovery discs from Acer; cost for most other OEMs ~ $20-$30
