    Faulting application name: userinit.exe error when logging to winodws


    Hi,
    When i login to windows 7 i get below error
    Faulting application name: userinit.exe, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce79438
    Faulting module name: protector.dll_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4ec6096e
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x7532c782
    Faulting process id: 0x1a30
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d1375dea159e76
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe
    Faulting module path: protector.dll
    Report Id: 328e1516-a351-11e5-86e2-c80aa9834c2b
    --sfc /scannow and chkdsk are clean.

    the key with mentiond value already exits.
    d. In the right pane, right-click Userinit, and then click Modify.
    e. In the Value data box, type hard disk:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe, and then click OK.

    Are you running AVG as your AV,
    If so and the above does not work, have a look at the thread below

    In your case i would only run Roguekiller and Adwcleaner and JRT.

    or you can go to
    run -> MSCONFIG -> Services Tab -> in the bottom check this (Hide All Microsoft services) ->then find the service (BrowserProtect) and uncheck it ->Then Ok -> then Restart
    if you didn't find that service.. simply uncheck all services but first check the selection (Hide All Microsoft services)

    no avg is not installed.
    i will try above two softwares and report back.
