StartupRepairOffline (unique problem signatures)

I was browsing the web on Google Chrome and my computer became unresponsive. I waited several minutes before holding down the power button to restart. Upon restart I got a black screen that said to select a correct boot device or insert one and press a key. I restarted again and Startup Repair came up, I ran it and got this:

I don't have a Windows 7 boot or reinstallation CD that came with my computer. I do however have one that came with a Dell laptop that I have. I've been reluctant to use it because it says only use with Dell computers and mine is CyberPowerPC.

I've also discovered that my hard drive is detected in BIOs but not detected by Startup Repair. I have ASUS Express Gate installed and I can see all of my files on my hard drive there so I don't believe my hard drive is completely dead.

Due to my lack of knowledge I cannot come to any conclusion as to what has happened. I am willing to provide any amount of information necessary to help get my problem fixed.

I would also like to note that I've had a number of BSODs while playing multiple games on my computer, I have no error code numbers for any of those though.

First I'd see if I can boot into Safe Mode with Networking to install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes. If this fails download, burn to CD or write to flash stick Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper, boot to run a full scan. If it finds infection you may need Startup Repair from DVD or Repair CD, which should automate SFC but if not run it from Repair console command line: SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot

If the Dell is an Reinstallation DVD of the same bit-version (32 or 64) then you can boot it to see if it has the Repair console on second screen. You need to run Startup Repair from there, which should automate System Restore, but if not run it separately from the Recovery Tools list you'll see there.

Make sure Windows 7 HD is set as first boot Device with all other HD's and peripherals unplugged. Trigger the DVD using one-time BIOS boot Menu F8 key at boot.

You may have video driver problems which need a better Display driver but you must get Windows 7 started first which is what Startup Repair is for, preferably run from DVD or Repair CD which doesn't depend upon possibly damaged System files. Ok so I set my first boot device to my HD with Windows 7 installed on it, I don't have an option to boot in safe mode or any of that. It goes to the windows loading screen where the Windows Logo forms and then restarts where i have the option to Launch Startup Repair or Start Windows Normally. I choose Startup Repair and a screen appears titled "System Recovery Options" where I have options "Use recover tools that can help fix problems starting Windows. Select an operating system to repair. If your operating system isn't listed, click Load Drivers then install drivers for your hard disks." and "Restore your computer using a system image that you created earlier."

There is no OS for me to choose for the first option and I do not know what driver I need.

I've tried system restore and that doesn't work or change anything. If I click Next on the above mentioned screen it takes me to the System Recovery Options screen. On this screen it says:

When I choose Startup Repair it says it cannot repair this computer automatically and I have the option to send information and view problem details. The problem details are:

When I look at the Diagnosis and Repair details it says the Root cause found: A hard disk could not be found. If a hard disk is installed, it is not responding.

My hard drive is a SATA Western Digital Caviar Blue (WD5000AAKS-00V in BIOS)

I would also like to note that in BIOS my Primary IDE Master Device is Not Detected. However for SATA 1 my WDC WD5000AAKS-00V is listed

What do you mean you have no Safe Mode option? What happens when you tap the F8 key repeatedly at boot as shown in the link?

What is your primary IDE device in BIOS supposed to be? Where is your DVD drive listed?

Boot the WD Data Lifeguard diagnostics DOS CD to run an extended scan on the HD: HD Diagnostic
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp

See if your HD can be seen using Diskpart, then make sure Windows 7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved boot partition (preferred if you have it) is marked Active before running Startup Repair 3 Separate Times
Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

You can see a picture of your HD's partitioning and mark Active using free Partition Wizard bootable CD which also has a HD Surface Scan and can Check File System (both are needed to ascertain HD stability). Once 100mb or Windows 7 is marked Active, click on HD to highlight it, then from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR, Apply, reboot. This may preclude the need to run Startup Repair 3 times.
