Advance ownership properties are different for similar users
^Hope that wasn't a bad thread title.
Recently moving from XP to a new Windows 7 laptop. Set up 2 basic users, plus an admin user. Copied all previous "My Docs" etc from previous machine. Was playing around with the new Libraries feature (which I like), was trying to share some stuff. I think it is set up ok, and things seem to work. But....
User 1's folders within "My Music" (for example) show that the owner is "Administrators".
Users 2's similar folders show the owner is "User 2"
I am talking about the folders WITHIN "My Music", not "My Music" itself. I noticed this because the folder icons for User 1 have a fancy windows folder with a black musical note on it. The folders for User 2 only show a standard plain windows folder.
Like I said, the machine works. But which is correct? Additional information can be provided if necessary, and if I can remember any further details. Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback.
