    Task Manager, mstask.inf missing

    Hi

I have a problem with my task manager as it will not load the running applications windows properly. I searched for a way to re-install only to find that it looks like my mstask.inf file (needed to re-install) is missing!

Does anyone know the best way to re-install task manager and to re-instate mstask.inf?
    Thanks

    Hello quietman,

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may help since it will scan and attempt to repair/replace any missing or corrupted system files.

    Hope this helps,

Well, there is not a mstask.inf file by default in Windows 7, so that is not an option.

Could you post a screenshot of what you mean by the Task Manager will not load the running applications windows properly to see if we might spot what the issue may be?
